Breakfast: You'll never guess....oh wait you might. Cause it was eggs again. Lol. Something I also need to plan out better is breakfasts. I'm not too creative in that area because I usually skip this meal for the day. I KNOW. It's the most important meal of the day. I just haven't learned that yet. Getting there. We had scrambled eggs with avocado and salsa. I then tried to make a lime and coconut smoothie from the Detox book with a few added notes from my mom. I'm sure it tastes better when she makes it. Yet again, Drayson said he loved it and drank the whole thing. What a stud.
Lunch: Ok so this was the simplest meal I've done yet but it was stupid good. I wanted 8 of them. But I didn't have enough chicken and I didn't feel like baking more. I took lettuce and put home made mayo and some spicy brown mustard in it. Then I added a couple slices of chicken, one piece of bacon, tomatoes, and red onion. Holy cow. I was in Heaven. It just shows you how simple really is sometimes the best! I'm planning on recreating this with more veggies next time. My fridge is almost empty at this point though. Did I mention I'm excited to go grocery shopping tomorrow?
Dinner: I was going to just eat salty meat balls again but decided to cook the last of the chicken thighs I bought. I followed another recipe in the Detox book. A pretty simple Asian style chicken thigh recipe. And then added 1/2 C brown rice, some baked sweet potatoes, and the left over baked broccoli from last night too. Pretty simple, good, and filled me up. Easy Peasy. Still dreaming about another Lettuce wrap thing from lunch though. Also, Dray is giving me a thumbs up for dinner.
My thoughts at the end of day 5 are as follows: Cookies sound good. And so does Lime Sherbet. Oh well. I need to leave the house tomorrow. There's something I was supposed to tell Doug that I can't remember. I would like a cafe rio pork salad.
Also, I am proud I've gone 5 days without sugar so far and I still feel motivated to trek on. Especially cause my Angel mom has invited us over for dinner Sunday and it's going to be a paleo sugar detox feast. And I always leave her house feeling like I can do things.
Goodnight.
