Detox Day 3

Today was easy enough. I was kind of super irritable and tired though. I can't tell if that was because of my lack of sleep or the detox though. Here's what we ate:

Breakfast: Pumpkin pancakes. They were....well...compared to a kneaders buttermilk pancake these were not real food. More like cardboard with pumpkin flavoring. Not the pancakes fault. If you think about it not being a pancake, but an eggy bready pumpkin....thing, then it was good. What made it doable for me was sprinkling diced up green apple on top. And a couple pieces of bacon on the side added a salty punch. Breakfast. Tada.

Lunch: Nothing new here, just leftovers. Although, I take that back, I did drink half of a La Croix. Bubbly water. Berry Flavor. Yum Yum. Felt like a treat. I did also bake some sweet potato cubes in coconut oil, lime, oregano, and salt for Avi but then remembered I needed to add some carbs to my diet because I am still nursing Avi and felt like my milk production was slowing down. Can't have that!

Snacks: Homemade beef jerky my mom gave me, water, almonds

Dinner: I marinated some chicken in lime juice, garlic, chili powder, and cumin for about 4 hours. Cooked that on the stove top in olive oil and lime juice. Tangy yummy. Made some salsa. Made my Mom's famous deviled eggs. They are the sassy sister to deviled eggs. They are tangy and so much better than the original. Her recipe is on her blog (http://backporchpaleo.com/2015/10/27/192/). And I made some rice. But this rice is actually cauliflower. I'm a magician in the kitchen. Not really, but the recipe was in the Detox book. Cilantro-cauli rice. I added cumin, lime juice, garlic, yellow bell peppers, and red onions. Oh and more cilantro then it called for because I LOVE IT. I threw the chicken on lettuce and the salsa was the dressing. It was all too good. We have no leftovers. SHOOT. Dray and Avi ate it all. Avi super loved the cauliflower. Praying it doesn't cause her discomfort like broccoli does. Tonight will tell.

*Feeling very blessed that my kids are such good eaters. They LOVE veggies and pretty much eat anything I put in front of them. I lucked out.
