Detox Day 2

Today was a little harder. Not for any particular reason either. I just wanted a treat as usual. Stupid sugar bug. I went to my Mom's house for some inspiration. Time for a quick brag session about my mom:

In case you didn't know it, my mom is a paleo goddess. She completely changed her cooking and eating styles/habits to help my dad and sister with health problems. She has an instagram account called Back Porch Paleo and a blog: http://backporchpaleo.com/...FOLLOW THEM. Her food posts are healthy, guilt free, tasty, and oh so inspiring. And Daaayum she can make any food look good on a plate. Mad plating skills. Also, She has tons of paleo friends and support whose recipe books she has studied and always gives props too. She's the queen of tweaking recipes and puting her own spin on things. And the best part, she is an angel and will answer your questions and help guide you to resources on eating healthy. Oh wait, the actual best part is she is MY MOM. I'm a lucky soul. She is the best support ever for this detox and healthy eating and life in general. P.S. my dad and sister's health problems are under control and way better, off their meds and feeling great now. Boom baby.

Ok, back to my day. My mom gave me some ideas on tweaking some recipes and how to maybe eat a little less meat in the mornings. I'm getting tired of eggs already and it's only day two. Crap. I left her house with a better attitude, Coconut Flour, All Spice, homemade mayo (which she taught me how to make), some banana granola stuff for breakfast tomorrow, and some yummy beef jerky she had just made. Did I mention this woman is a saint?

When I got home I made some homemade salad dressings and began making dinner. Dray was napping through it all and Avi explored the kitchen pretty much the entire time. It was quite pleasant, despite tripping over the things Avi was pulling out of cabinets and drawers.

Ok so food for today:

Breakfast: Green Apple and pork sausages (recipe from Detox Book), eggs, and avocado slices.

Lunch: Leftover mustard chicken and green beans

Snacks: Some chicken salad my mom made, beef jerky

Dinner: Spaghetti Squash Bolognese (I know I'm not spelling that right but it's late and I don't care).  I got this recipe from the Detox Book. It was sooooooo yummy!! I ate too much I think...Avi and Dray loved it too. Oh we also had a simple salad with tomatoes, avocado, and cheese. With some home made balsamic dressing. Oh, and throughout the day I drank more water. Still need to drink more though.

P.s. Drayson and I prepped some pumpkin pancakes for tomorrow morning that I am particularly excited about. I'm planning on a shake too...I will keep you posted. Message me if you want recipes of all this amazing stuff.

P.s.s. I swear my kids wear clothes. But when spaghetti is involved, their shirts come off. And Dray had just bathed so he was running around in his diaper. Although, to be fair, clothes on babies and toddlers...? I'm beginning to think I only want to dress them if we leave the house. Sooo many stains. So much laundry.
