Detox Day 4

I found myself really wanting some grape juice today. I blame Curious George.

Something I realized again today is how sweet Drayson is. Without fail, every time we eat, he tells me how yummy it is and thanks me for making it. He's a diamond in the rough that one. Also my teeth are lame. Super sensitive, hardly any enamel. So all the limes and lemons I've been using has made them very sensitive. Ok, on to the food.

Breakfast: We made a chocolate smoothie for breakfast. The ingredients were frozen green tipped bananas, cocoa powder, avocado, almond milk, almond flour....I think that's it. The recipe is in the Detox book. Don't drink this stuff expecting a chocolate mood from jamba. It was....rough. Bitter. Not very good. But this is coming from a sugar addict. Drayson loved it and drank all of his. So I gulped it down too. Doug didn't mind it. And I've definitely drank worse. We're trying a lime/coconut milk one tomorrow morning. We ate some scrambled eggs and the last of the apple sausage too.

Lunch: I cooked some chicken, made some more of those oh so tangy yummy deviled eggs, and more cauli-rice. In the "rice" this time I added a little tomato paste, cumin, and lime juice to make it taste even more like Mexican rice. It was muy bueno. So kind of a re-creation of last night's dinner. I didn't eat it all. I wasn't feeling super hungry. Maybe it was that yucky chocolate smoothie from the morning that filled me up. lol. I will admit I had a lot more energy this morning with the kids. We had a dance party. To this song called Kamikaze by Mo. Check it out. Anyway, if that smoothie is what gave me the energy it's worth gagging it down again.

Dinner: Asian Meatballs (from the detox book), 1/2 cup of brown rice, and baked broccoli (I drizzled with lemon, magic mushroom powder, garlic powder, and a little salt). The meatballs were way too salty. I'm sure that was my fault. So I ate them at the same time as a bite of rice and avocado. YUMMY. These are definitely a do over, with less salt. I also had some sweet potato bites. Only a few are on the plate because Avi and I snacked on them while I cooked.

It's the end of the night and I am exhausted. So much cooking and so much prepping with babies all over me. I really need to learn how to prep things and make this easier on myself. My kiddos need attention that is hard to give them while trying to cook. I don't think I can multitask well in the kitchen. This weekend I will plan better for next week. When it comes to cravings and such, I feel like I am okay. Except for wanting grape juice after watching Curious George with Dray, I haven't been craving much sugar yet. On to day 5.

Side note: Avi has been practicing walking like crazy today. It's crazy cute.
